The Oncology Data Specialist plays a crucial role in the management and analysis of oncology-related data . This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in data collection, management, and analysis, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and abstracting Cancer patient files. The specialist will work closely to ensure accurate data reporting and compliance with industry standards.
Savista provides 18 CEU's annually to support our colleagues' skills and maintain their certification with the NCRA.
- Responsibilities
- Collect, manage, and analyze oncology-related data from various sources to support clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding using ICD-10 and ICD-9 standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management in the oncology field.
- Skills
- Proficiency in data collection methodologies and database management systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
