Operations Planning Manager
- Description:
- Develop and manage production schedules with contract manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery of products while meeting demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels to balance supply with customer demand, avoiding overstocking or shortages.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers, fostering strong partnerships to ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and cost expectations.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to generate accurate demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Work closely with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure all products meet regulatory and brand standards.
- Monitor production and logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Utilize data-driven insights to track performance metrics, forecast trends, and optimize planning decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or operations, preferably within the food industry.
- Proven experience managing relationships with contract manufacturers.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in planning tools and software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Passion for natural and sustainable foods is a plus.
