On-Site Ear Impression & Service Provider

SUMMARY:

CavCom is looking for a Technical Specialist to join our growing team. The candidate will provide on-site services, product demonstrations, training, and support to our customer base throughout North America. Many of CavCom’s customers are high noise manufacturing facilities that require hearing protection. Our hearing protection and two-way radio solutions require on-site services and support to ensure customer success. CavCom’s team of Technical Specialists deliver optimal customer service through in-person visits and telephone or video conferences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Customer Location (on-site) Responsibilities:

o Take ear impressions for custom hearing protection products

o Perform hearing protection personal attenuation rating (PAR)

o Program and install two-way radios and radio infrastructure

o Demonstrate and train on product solutions

o Diagnose and resolve product/customer issues

o Comprehend customer requirements to make appropriate recommendations to sales representatives

o Build positive relationships with customers

· In-Office Responsibilities:

o Perform video training for perspective customers through mail-out product trial program

o Perform video training for new customers on CavCom solution

o Provide telephone support for customers with product questions

o Document work per company procedures

o Perform administrative duties as requested by other CavCom departments

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Key requisites of the successful candidate include:

· Required:

o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

o Superior customer service skills to deal with sensitive customers

o Self-starter: ability to work efficiently under pressure without direct supervision

o Ability to manage various projects with attention to detail

o Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

o Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

o Comfortable presenting in front of an audience (both in person and via camera)

o Comfortable with commercial travel

o Ability to obtain a US passport for travel to Canada

· Preferred:

o Three to five years of experience performing in-field work preferred (training, product demonstration, etc.)

o OHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) certification

o Occupational/environmental safety and health experience

POSITION OVERVIEW AND COMPENSATION:

· Full-time salaried position (work hours will vary)

· Travel Expectation: Approximately 10 days per month

o In-office time spent on performing pre/post travel documentation and video/telephone support

· Office location: Home office within 60 miles of an international airport and access to high-speed internet

· Compensation based on experience
