Senior Cloud Architect (Data Modeling)

We’re seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a project focused on Regulatory Strategy in the pharmaceutical/biotech domain.The project aims to deliver advanced solutions that support process orchestration, intelligent automation, data analytics, and predictive modeling for global regulatory operations in innovative medicine.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data architecture, data governance, and data modeling;
  • Proficiency in developing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical);
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications;
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality practices;
  • AWS Data Engineer Certification (or equivalent Azure/GCP certification);
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or scientific field;
  • Minimum English Level: C1 Advanced.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience working with Snowflake and Denodo;
  • AWS Well-Architected Framework certification ;
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Regulatory subject matter experts, technical product owners, engineers, and architecture teams to design scalable and supportable data architectures aligned with Regulatory Strategy and Intelligence goals;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data architecture artifacts using standard tools (e.g., Data Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Integration Artifacts);
  • Ensure architectural alignment with the data platform strategies and standards of Regulatory, RD, JJ Innovative Medicine, and the broader JJ enterprise;
  • Maintain regular engagement with business and technical teams to build and update a data dictionary covering master data, reference data, critical and non-critical data elements;
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support Regulatory Strategy solutions;
  • Support the creation and implementation of a data governance framework, including policies for master, reference, and critical data elements;
  • Identify authoritative data sources and manage data integration across Regulatory solutions;
  • Define relationships between master and reference data entities;
  • Translate business data needs into clear functional and technical specifications;
  • Provide insights and recommendations through data analysis and architectural best practices to promote data-driven decision-making;
  • Resolve conflicting stakeholder requirements to ensure smooth and effective data integration;
  • Coach business and IT teams on best practices related to data governance, data quality, and integration;
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage data to enhance business capabilities and generate competitive advantage.
