  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and field teams to translate ideas into practical designs

  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and field-based testing to validate functionality and reliability

  • Support prototype builds and testing, including hands-on troubleshooting, refinement, and technical guidance

  • Lead technical reviews and mentor junior designers in design methodology, drawing standards, and best practices

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and internal standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design (construction, fabrication, or industrial applications preferred)

  • Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks; additional software experience a plus

  • Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, welding, machining, and DFM/DFA principles

  • Proven ability to lead design initiatives and bring ideas from concept to tested prototype

  • Excellent problem-solving, technical writing, and project planning skills

  • Clear communicator with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Willingness to engage in hands-on assembly and testing during prototype development

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team

  • Occasional travel required to fabrication shops and project sites

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)

  • Full benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision

  • 401(k) with company match
