Retail Real Estate Loan Processor/Closer
The Retail Real Estate Loan Processor/Closer is responsible for all processing steps from origination through closing, and the generation of initial and closing documents of real estate secured loans. This professional is responsible for a pipeline that includes a variety of loan types Construction, Bridge, Cash to Close, First Lien Mortgage, and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
Essential Functions:
- Process and close real estate secured loans which include a variety of loan types, such as Construction, Bridge, Cash to Close, First Lien Mortgage, and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
- Manage daily workflow of real estate loans, including monitoring of disclosure and closing pipelines.
- Understand and anticipate all requirements of the real estate loan cycle from beginning to end.
- Prepare initial and pre-closing documents within bank and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Perform initial and pre-closing reviews to ensure loans meet all bank policy requirements, complex regulatory compliance guidelines, and customer service standards.
- Conduct verifications and prepare documentation for Real Estate Loan Amendments submitted to the processing team.
- Understands and applies knowledge of real estate lending regulations including TRID, Adverse Action, and Reg B.
- Provide a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
- Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-years of lending experience, real estate loan processing preferred.
- Minimum of 3-years banking experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, existing bank hardware/software preferred or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Encompass and Fiserv software experience preferred.
