Internship Summary:
Launched in 2023, the Climate Action Fund (CAF) has already supported over 50 projects, generating $800,000 in annual savings and significantly cutting emissions across Jewish institutions. CAF is now scaling toward a bold goal: a fully decarbonized Jewish community by 2040.
Adamah seeks a motivated Climate Finance Analyst Intern to support CAF’s transition from a philanthropy-driven model to a blended finance strategy. The role focuses on financial modeling, market research, and developing investment strategies to attract catalytic capital, impact investors, and climate-aligned funders.
Ideal for those pursuing careers in finance with a passion for climate justice, philanthropy, and multifaith collaboration, the internship offers hands-on experience with a high-impact fund at the intersection of finance, community, and spirituality.
Working closely with the Development Director for Climate Action and cross-functional teams, the intern will help design innovative financing tools that blend grants, concessional capital, and commercial investment to scale CAF’s impact.
Helpful skills and experience include:
Coursework or hands-on experience in climate finance, sustainable investing, or international development finance.
Familiarity with blended finance instruments (e.g., guarantees, first-loss capital, green bonds).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools and financial modeling tools and platforms is a plus.
Research and analytical experience in climate-related sectors (e.g., renewable energy, nature-based solutions).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; ability to clearly present complex information using tools like PowerPoint or Canva.
Ability to take initiative, manage time effectively, and synthesize complex information clearly.
Passion for climate action.
If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box!
