Therapist, LPC, Intern
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will work with adolescents and/or adults providing clinical counseling, psychotherapy, and direct support to help them overcome challenges and improve their mental health and well-being.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and approaches
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Provide clinical counseling and psychotherapy to address a range of mental health concerns
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to coordinate care for clients
- Qualifications:
- If completing an internship: must show proof of enrollment in Graduate level classes and approval for internship placement
- For part-time or full-time position: Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field AND valid licensure or certification as a Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LPC-Associate)
- Experience working with individuals with diverse backgrounds and mental health needs
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with DSM-V and/or ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
