About the Role

    As a Travel DHH Teacher in New Orleans, LA, you will:
  • Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in K–12 settings
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and families
  • Facilitate communication access and promote inclusion
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with state and district requirements
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field
  • Active or pending Louisiana DHH teaching certification
  • Strong understanding of language acquisition for DHH students
  • Proficiency in ASL and experience with hearing technologies (e.g., FM systems, cochlear implants)
  • School-based experience preferred
  • Open to candidates from Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and nearby states
